You will take the responsibility and quickly develop into the role of leader of our accounting operations, for all of our legal entities across Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. You will work closely with and report to the CFO, and also with our financial planner & analyst teams, accounting partners, group’s accounting shared services center (SSC), and business unit’s leaders.
You responsibility includes :
Responsibility for the monthly closing process including controlling of Group IFRS Reporting on a monthly basis, along with others required local statutory & fiscal reporting.
Responsible for overseeing the annual statutory financial statements process, including management of the external audit and tax compliance.
Responsible for leading and managing full accounting operations and frameworks.
Responsible for all company’s tax reporting to ensure its accuracy, timely reporting and payment.
Supervising and monitoring the entire accounting process including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivables, inventory, fixed assets, cash management and taxes etc.
Perform regular in-depth analysis on financial entries, documents and data, ensuring the integrity, compliance and financial accuracy of our books and records.
Supervise and/or perform the recording of accounts payables.
Play an active role in securing the business and mitigate the risks identified in the area of responsibility. Also alert actively to the management team about risks.
Daily cooperation with our group’s SSC, and accounting partners, also supervising their works.
Liaising with external and internal auditors, sharing relevant information with the auditors.
Responsible for creating/updating accounting and tax local files (for the Decathlon group) and guidebooks (for local teams).
Contributing to continuous improvement by proposing ideas, participating in projects and applying any agreed changes to processes.
Ensure compliance by managing the internal control system’s performance and effectiveness.
Ensure a sustainable and profitable growth of the different Business Units and Business Models in your area of responsibility.
Represent Accounting and Finance with our business partners through effective communication with in-country business managers, accounting, tax, treasury, legal, regulatory Compliance, financial institutions, auditors, tax authorities etc.
Develop and implement a team strategy with a focus on strong governance and resilience, consistent with international objectives.
Develop and implement a team project that is connected to the country/BU/ group strategy.
Ensure the smooth data flow of accounting and financial data through our accounting and reporting tools.
WHO YOU ARE:
Passionate about sports
Very good English command in writing and speaking.
At least 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, tax, or auditing field if in officer level, or at least 1 years of experience if in management level.
Minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related fields.
Strong knowledge of local accounting standards & taxation at least in one of the Baltic countries.
Strong knowledge of the accounting process and internal control principles.
Strong in problem solving skills and critical thinking.
Strong in organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage deadlines and work in a high-pressure environment.
Master the job in Excel/Spreadsheet.
Good attention to details and numerical ability.
Good organizational and interpersonal skills.

Starting salary for this position is from 2100 euro/month gross + monthly bonus, the final offer will be based on the candidate's experience.
